Finely painted to one side with a continually extensive court scene showing figures, and the reverse painted with battle scenes with warriors holding spears and shields.

There are fourteen intricately pierced and carved sandalwood wood sticks depicting figural scenes with Chinese landscapes, and the guard sticks similarly decorated.

The original lacquer fan case has flower and birds painting on inside of the hinged top and a glass cover to protect the fan.

有十四根错综复杂的雕刻木制扇骨，描绘了中国山水的人物场景，两侧扇骨上也有类似的装饰。原配漆盒在盒盖内侧画有花鸟画，内附玻璃盖保护扇子。
