Chinese Bamboo brush pot finely carved with decorative pattern of flowers and rocks

清十八世紀 竹刻冬景筆筒

Flowers and rocks are rewarded by most scholars during Qing dynasty. The inscription on it is saying the favourite fragrance of flower in the one blossoms in winter (最爱寒花晚节香), which symbolizes the honourable virtue in one’s old age.

筆筒上刻刻有花岩冬景，皆為文人喜愛之意象，並刻詩句“最愛寒花晚節香”。
